Famed Chinese designer Liu Yong collaborated with Rishikensh on their Spring/Summer 2020 capsule, presenting an unapologetic streetwear collection that gave new meaning to the athleisure category.

The collection was bold in color, tie-dye centric, yet very monochromatic. Redefining street style, the collection unfolded with neon blue, orange, and green jumpsuits, tank tops and t-shirts, layered with perforated-mesh overcoats and hoodies. Clear raincoats with neon piping accessorized several looks, allowing for the colorful silhouettes to breakthrough on the runway.

Growing up, Billie Essco would mill his eyes over his home in the East Side of Buffalo, New York. The closest building to a skyscraper is downtown.  But on his block, there weren’t any high rises or tall structures. It didn’t deflate him one bit. Instead, he used it as inspiration. “We didn’t see how far we could go up,” Essco said.

“Downtown didn’t inspire us. There’s always a culture downtown in cities like Los Angeles and New York. In Buffalo, it’s all in the smaller buildings.”

While in college, Ember Niches founders would resell rare streetwear and ready-made eye-wear to make ends meet. In doing so, they developed passions for fashion and eye-wear. The Anything Collection features diamond penises. Inspired by Gallo-Roman fascinus charms, Freudian thought of power symbolism in phallic objects and owning our own self. She named ANYTHING Collection as the wearer creates its meaning. It's about dating who you want, being who you are, living and loving your life. The pieces are a reminder to challenge the norm, that we all get to choose our environment and values. And that we deserve to thrive.

In the creative direction for the campaign, being that I am born and raised in Honolulu and currently reside in Los Angeles I wanted to choose an environment that could abstractly encompass both. The campaign has a desert color palette with a juxtaposition of water.
