"This video was important for us to shoot because it was an opportunity to showcase the duality of strip clubs from an under-told reality, rather than the common, sensationalized tropes. We wanted to tell a story without bias, that simply shows a series of events, tied to an empowered woman, played by Issa Rae, who takes what she wants and is willing to face the consequences that result.

As creatives, we're always a little excited to rattle the collective zeitgeist, and the beauty of having Issa Rae involved as our lead exotic dancer, we hope this video accomplishes just that. At the close of 2019, Los Angeles duo Mont Blvck released their debut EP "Lost Tapes." A project five years in the making, the EP is a raw and honest look at the ups and downs of the creative process resulting from a robbery that lost five years of music projects. Today, the project is seeing new life thanks to a remix EP featuring some of electronic music's most revered talents including TÂCHES, Dennis De Laat, Lee Curtiss, Dance Spirit, and Matt Ossentjuk.

“‘Pick Me Up’ is about love and the loss of it. It’s also meant to be a song about having anger towards someone but still wanting them regardless of how much they’ve let you down and not metaphorically picked you back up,” explains Lola Young. “The writing process of this was super fun, I wrote to a beat that my friends made (Conor and will/Manuka) and it felt super special. My upcoming EP is based around love and longing and being a young girl living in south London falling in and out of love. It’s a 3-track EP that will hopefully take people on a short but meaningful journey.”

“This song is about knowing who ‘the one' might be but need to find myself before I give that person my time forever," says FLETCHER. “The relationships in my life are really important to me, but I’ve realized the one that I’ve been neglecting my entire life is the one I have with myself. Heading into this year and next project, I made a promise to focus my energy on getting to know myself and to date myself for the first time.

As the title suggests, the song “Stone Cold” pays homage to Stone Cold Steve Austin of American wrestling fame. On it, Deb - in typical nonchalant fashion - cleverly paints the “tough guy” image as one that is immature and lonely, all while Kenny Beats provides an intimidating yet infectious bassline beneath her.
