Nº9

How Alicia Keys feels about Illmatic (1994) is how we feel about Millennial col-lagists: "it's the example that it is not impossible. Even though some of us don't make it, it's still not impossible." The cinematic influence of both Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill series adjacent to the renegade significance of Crooklyn and Do The Right Thing is what blurs the impossible. When Smells Like Teen Spirit made existential angst and incomprehensibility cool and headwraps signified bohemian glamour, youth culture visibly became a stomping ground for young creative curators to stay true to their own light and soul purpose.

In this very special ninth issue, we've chosen nine brilliant, highly collaborative Millennial Icons who have aspired to careers that are in service to the culture.

Each individual is reminding the cyber ecosystem that the world belongs to them-and to you. This issue is dedicated to Generation Y-the ones who are getting their elbows dirty and using adversity as a way to level up (tekken style).

We give special thanks to a problem solving footwear architect, a mischievous visualist, a poetic freedom fighter, a curatorial veteran, a lunch break photog-rapher/video maker, a culinary master, twin avant garde designers, an all-pur-pose artist and a spirit guide for being a part of this issue and answering our

"random" series of questions.
