Ella Knox premieres new video REVOLUTION. The song is a commanding call to arms, reminding people that it’s okay to fight for their own worthiness and happiness. The video itself features visuals of relevant stories, including stories of a survivor of domestic abuse, a bullying victim and the strength of a trans individual.
“Revolution” comes from a place of personal trauma for Ella. Growing up in a broken home, she found peace in writing music and formed a rock band in high school. She decided to attend university for a degree in biology as a request from her dad to have a better life, but Ella soon discovered that he wasn’t her biological father. Her world unraveling, she packed up her beat up Honda Accord and made the journey to California to connect with her biological father, quickly falling in love with the City of Angels and getting baptized into the hard knocks of Hollywood. Her music reflects her struggle, and her persistent attitude in moving forward on her own agenda.
“The video is about some of the oppressions we face in the world – racism, gay rights/acceptance, abuse and bullying – and finding the strength inside you to stand up against these silent killers instead of letting them defeat you.”- Ella Knox
